The servers named mx*.harrowfold.com check whether email addresses exist,
for customers cleaning their own address lists.
A check connects to the domain's mail server, asks whether a mailbox exists, and disconnects.
No email is sent.
How they behave
- Connections to each mail provider are paced at low, fixed rates.
- When a server asks us to slow down, we slow down.
- When a server refuses us, we stop.
- Each server's reverse DNS, forward DNS and HELO name match, so every connection can be traced to us.
